The Director of the Project Management Office (PMO) is responsible for establishing a PMO organization in Medline and providing leadership, integration and management of PMO processes.
Purpose
The Director of the Project Management Office (PMO) is responsible for establishing a PMO organization in Medline and providing leadership, integration and management of PMO processes. He/she improves consistency and efficiency of Medline project delivery.
As part of the PMO processes, he/she coordinates the product development activities in Europe. Working closely with the Product Divisions, he/she facilitates and supports the introduction of new, high quality products into the EU market. With Divisions & Sales he/she accelerates revenue growth and increases GM generated by new products. He/she focuses on customer satisfaction by delivering new products on-time at the expected price.
Activities
- PMO activities:
- Develop and assure the implementation and continuous improvement of an efficient PMO. Make sure all appropriate processes and governance are in place.
- Facilitate the definition of Company strategies and organizational policies to enable business objectives to be achieved. As part of the Management Committee of Medline in Europe, help define, staff and coordinate key projects supporting those strategies.
- Manage interdependencies and coordination across projects to ensure that information relating to project deliverables, risks and issues are effectively communicated between stakeholders.
- Provide visibility on projects pipeline in Europe and report periodically to Top Management.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators that evaluate PMO deliverables and contribution to Company strategies.
- Drive project portfolio and prioritization across Medline Europe.
- Define PMO standard tools and process for Medline Europe. Train and coach PMO of each Function as well as project managers.
- New product development activities:
- Develop and assure the implementation and continuous improvement of an efficient product development process.
- Coach and mentor Medline Product Managers in the product development process.
- Coordinate the Medlaunch senior management committee and support the activity of weekly Medlaunch Division meetings. Publish minutes and make sure agreed actions are implemented.
- Monitor and report on progress of approved product development projects.
- Establish and track KPIs for the process. Report periodically.
- Ensure clear and efficient communication throughout the Medline organization.
- Drive project portfolio management, prioritization, and product life cycle management across Medline Europe.
- Organize quarterly management review of the New Product Portfolio.
- Implement and manage strategies to optimize all systems and processes (workflows and documentation management as examples).
Job Requirements
- 10+ years in the medical device industry in an international capacity.
- Track record of increasing responsibility in Management, Project Management, New Product Development and/or Marketing.
- Leadership ability. Lead cross-functional teams in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to communicate and interact with senior management.
