Purpose
The International IT team is chartered to design, develop, implement, and maintain an international IT function that supports the international business units while creating, adopting, and influencing best practices and strategies in concert with the broader US Medline IT Department.
The Intl Enterprise Architect will lead the design of the future international IT strategic roadmap, collaborate and provide guidance to business models, business processes, organizations, and investments by contributing a technology perspective and analytical approach to decision activities.
Responsibilities
Review the existing Global technological ecosystem and develop a strategic roadmap to modernize the international IT practice within the tiers of Global, International, Regional, and Country specific.
Provide thought leadership to match the intention of global initiatives, best practices, or policies to create practical outcomes that match the scope, feasibility, and impact of the separate regional units in the International group.
Assess near-term needs, using structured interview processes, to establish business priorities.
Consult with technical subject matter experts, and develop alternative technical solutions.
Advise on options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impact on other business processes and system priorities.
Work closely with business and IT leaders to define technology-oriented business strategies.
Collaborate with US based Architecture group and regional Solutions Architecture teams for projects, initiatives, and best practice development.
Track and provide visibility to the Information & Technology strategy for an area of the business.
Create deliverables that illustrate how to move business goals forward.
Provide consultation to assigned line-of-business leaders in defining or designing business capabilities, processes, functions and organizational structures, as well as in researching, identifying and internally marketing, selling and enabling technologies.
Seek ways to apply new technology to, and reuse or consolidate existing technology for, business processes.
Research and provide information on technical trends and partner ecosystem interactions relevant to assignments.
Stay abreast of current technological trends both in the industry as a whole and with the applications deployed in the landscape.
Understand and provide guidance on country or region-specific legal considerations that impact IT architecture and process flows.
Research and design implementation strategies for new and/or alternate technologies that will further business goals and provide competitive advantages.
Provide interim leadership to bootstrap new digital products, manage vendor relationships, or lead prototype technology efforts.
Are you a match?
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
At least 5 years mid-level leadership role (technical or management) in full lifecycle systems implementations, preferably with innovative digital products.
At least 3 years of experience in centralized IT organization with global presence.
Experience leading and/or participating in global implementations of major technological systems such as ERP, HRM, WMS, or SCM platforms.
