Medline International has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Business Partner at our European head office in Arnhem, Netherlands. We are, therefore, seeking an independent, open and enthusiastic professional with a desire to work for a dynamic international organisation.
In this position (32-40 hrs./week) you will be working closely with our HR manager and other European HR team members. You will support the Benelux business and its key stakeholders on the full HR spectrum, partnering with managers, participating in European HR projects and new developments. You will also be responsible for administrative tasks that come with the role.
How can you help us?
- Be an initial point of contact for employees on HR matters.
- Coach leadership on people management skills and responsibilities, constructively challenge them and act as their sounding board.
- Work on innovative international HR initiatives and participate in relevant European projects.
- Work closely with the HR managers and colleagues for the Benelux region on a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Recruitment process; first screening of candidates, communication with candidates, interviews, offers.
- Contract management; draft contracts and contract updates.
- Onboarding procedures; coordinate and arrange all necessary requests, including visa and permit applications.
- Offboarding procedures; initiate, organise and execute offboarding.
- Monthly payroll closure; support the HR manager on payroll closure.
- Updating the HRIS system.
- Document Filing (digital and paper).
- Sickness absence management.
- Management of attendance software.

- Experience in recruitment and general HR tasks.
- Strong knowledge of Dutch labour law.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise workload and carry out multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexible and structured.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
- Able to achieve results in a fast-paced, ever-changing, global/matrix environment.
- Critical thinking skills, excellent reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of employee relations principles, best practices, methods, and programmes.
- Able to make administrative and procedural decisions on sensitive, confidential issues.
- Appreciates and is experienced in team-oriented collaboration.
