Product Specialist (regional role)
With the continuous growth we are expanding our team and looking for Product Specialists to support our Account Managers and Clinical Sales in the field.
Purpose
The (Regional) Product Specialist is responsible for growth in the sales and profitability of the assigned products within the region. In this role, you will tailor the product value proposition to local market needs and educate the local sales team on how to sell the assigned product effectively. You will be involved as a subject-matter expert in sales calls/meetings.
Activities and responsibilities
• Maximises sales and profitability of the product portfolio.
• Is an expert on the market, including knowing all of whom are buyers, how they buy and why—consistently gathering and sharing useful insights (market/customer/competitor) with the local team to facilitate market-share growth.
• Closely cooperates with product divisions and provide timely, and complete market analysis on new product portfolio development opportunities, by consistently gathering insights (market/customer/competitor).
• Develops and delivers local product plan with clear measurable KPIs.
• Drives local campaigns/portfolio marketing support in partnership with the local marketing manager to ensure campaign KPIs are met.
• Is portfolio lead on local and national tenders; provide relevant portfolio information in a timely manner to enable the business to meet tender submission time frame and maximise success.
• Accompanies sales team to sales meetings as the subject-matter expert and to support all things sales.
• Ensures sales team has up-to-date knowledge on products.
• Manages product tests and trials in cooperation with clinical sales.
• Manages new product launches in the region.
• Is responsible for local marketing content on any communication channel.
Profile
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing and/or healthcare
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in marketing and/or product management, preferably within the healthcare industry. However, we are also open to considering fresh graduates
• Able to forge strong relationships in commercial and clinical settings
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Solid time management skills; able to set priorities and plan tasks accordingly
• Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative
• Fluent in English and the local language
• Willing and able to travel regularly within the region
