The European Planning Manager is responsible for coordinating and optimizing operations planning activities across the company's various European sites. He/she ensures the efficiency of production and distribution processes to meet customer needs while minimizing costs.

Key responsibilities:

Strategic Manufacturing Planning:

1. Develop and implement long-term manufacturing planning strategies
2. Analyze demand forecasts and adjust production plans accordingly
3. Optimize stock levels to minimize costs while guaranteeing product availability
4. As part of the S&OP process, make sure to keep an alignment between Demand Planning and Production capacities, and escalated in case of event that would generate a gap
5. Coordinate planning activities between European sites

Resource Management:

1. Supervise the planning teams and ensure their professional development
2. Optimize the allocation of human and material resources
3. Collaborate with operational teams to enhance efficiency

Cross department Coordination:

1. Work closely with marketing, sales, finance, production and operations departments
2. Facilitate communication and synergy across teams
3. Collaborate with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure a smooth supply chain.

Monitoring and Reporting:

1. Establish performance indicators to assess planning effectiveness
2. Prepare regular reports on planning performance and propose corrective action where necessary

Continuous improvement:

1. Identify opportunities for improving planning processes
2. Analyze production and distribution data to identify opportunities for improvement.
3. Propose innovative solutions to enhance overall performance

Project Management :

1. Oversee specific planning projects at the European level
2. Ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards

Required skills

• Education: Degree in management, logistics, engineering, or related field
• Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an international environment
• Technical skills: In-depth knowledge of ERP systems (especially SAP) and planning solutions especially with constrained planning
• Analytical skills: Ability to analyze complex data and derive actionable insights
• Interpersonal skills: Strong communication skills and ability to work in teams
