Purpose
The Account Manager’s goal is to increase Medline’s sales volume and margins across the assigned product ranges in alignment with the guidelines and strategy defined by the company for his/her geographical area, and in the context of laws and decrees on medical devices.
How can you help us?
- Results-driven sales of your designated product portfolio in the designated area;
- Increase territory results by building and maintaining strong business relationships and implementing Medline sales strategies;
- Cross-sell products and introduce new products as they become available;
- Communicate with current and new customer accounts on a variety of topics, including product updates, changes to the product portfolio and custom made products;
- Close agreements and framework contracts;
- Participate in conferences, trade fairs and tenders;
- Collaborate with Sales Manager by receiving coaching, training or mentoring;
- Maintain training in sales skills, product features/benefits and other critical business applications;
- Gather competitive intelligence and stay informed about industry, customer and competitive trends;
- This is a mobile role, so you will be on the road about 80% of the time.
Are you our match?
- Nursing studies and experience required;
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience in medical devices / medical disposables with proven commercial results;
- Existing network in hospitals is a plus;
- Experience in an operating theatre is a plus;
- Result-oriented with a strong sense of urgency;
- Exceptional sales and follow-up skills;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal);
- Fluency in Flemish and English required, French is considered as a plus;
- Able to effectively influence all stakeholders;
- Highly organized and detail-oriented;
- Accurate and analytical;
- Knowledge of the Belgian healthcare system and the dynamics in the sector;
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to meet deadlines;
- You live in the Ghent region;
- In possession of a driving license - Ability to travel frequently by car to visit clients
