Environment, Health and Safety Specialist

Purpose

The EHS Specialist oversees and leads the health & environment safety programs with the aim of ensuring the site's compliance with regulatory requirements and those of the Medline group, as well as ensuring the sustainability of certifications. It also participates in projects for the health, safety, environment and safety component at Varsseveld and Zutphen sites.

How you can help us?

  • Coordinate suppliers & service providers on site, ensuring compliance to standards and regulations

  • Environmental impact “waste audits” for our production and warehouse

  • Have an active role in contribution to the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policies

  • Schedule and conduct audits

  • Lead the identification, documentation, analysis, & assessment of risks

  • Monitor and update the Document Valuations of Risk (DVR) and any reports required by Dutch law

  • Manage regulatory watch activities related to EHS

  • Implement and maintain EHS certifications

  • Monitor and maintain the manufacturing/ warehouse's equipment and infrastructure as well as monitor maintenance actions with the maintenance technician and suppliers

  • Organize, plan and coordinate SHE related maintenance work for both locations

  • Participate in and lead safety and environmental improvement projects

  • Manage the emergency response organization

  • Manage PEST control for both locations

Are you a match?

  • Degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or related field (e.g. Integrale veiligheidskunde) and related experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Mastery of EHS regulations or IOSH qualified

  • Having knowledge and a practice of the ISO norms (14001 or 45001)

  • Being a certified internal auditor is a plus

  • Fluent in Dutch and in English
