Purpose
The Product Manager – Europe for Essential Wound Care and Primary Care is responsible for managing the entire product lifecycle, from development through to end-of-life, ensuring the division’s profitability and long-term growth. The role supports strategic and operational initiatives across European markets. Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, the position works cross-functionally to drive product performance, execute launches, and support commercial teams—ensuring alignment with Medline Europe’s overall business goals.
Activities & Responsibilities
- Product Lifecycle Management: oversee the full product from introduction to phase-out, monitoring performance, identifying improvement opportunities, and executing updates or replacements to ensure sustained profitability and competitiveness;
- Market and Data Analysis: analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence to identify growth opportunities and gaps in the portfolio, and drive data-driven decision making;
- Product Development and Launches: identify and successfully launch new products, coordinating with cross-functional teams including Regulatory, Quality, Sales, and Marketing to ensure smooth go-to-market execution and maximum product uptake;
- Pricing & Profitability: establish pricing policies per product line, negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-effective product offerings, and monitor financial performance to improve margins and drive profitable growth;
- Sales & Marketing Support: develop training programs, marketing materials, and sales strategies to enable the sales team to effectively promote and sell the product portfolio;
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Collaborate with senior leadership to support and execute strategic marketing plans, ensuring product positioning, pricing, and promotional activities align with business objectives;
- Supplier & Quality Management: Negotiate with suppliers to optimize costs and ensure high-quality standards are met, implementing industry-leading quality control protocols across the supply chain;
- Operations & Inventory Management: Work with supply chain and operations teams to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and minimize stockouts or excess stock;
- Sales Collaboration & Business Growth: Partner with the sales team to prepare and secure major opportunities, provide product expertise, and propose action plans based on sales reports to drive revenue growth.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, Healthcare, or a related field required. Master’s degree is a plus;
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience with a demonstrated track record of managing products across the lifecycle;
- Deep understanding of product lifecycle management and go-to-market execution;
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and market trends to drive informed decision-making;
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, capable of handling multiple priorities effectively;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to collaborate across functional and international teams;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word);
- Fluency in English (spoken and written); proficiency in additional language is a plus;
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe (approximately 10–20%).
