Purpose
Medline’s Surgeon Gloves product category plays a vital role in supporting hospital operating rooms and out-of-hospital care settings across Europe. We’re looking for a passionate and driven Product Manager who’s eager to take full ownership of this critical product portfolio and make a real impact. Medline offers a unique opportunity for a talented and ambitious individual to manage this product line as if it were their own business.
As Product Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the Surgeon Gloves product line, planning, organizing, and controlling all aspects to maximize profitability while achieving marketing, financial, and corporate growth targets.
You will lead the strategic development and execution of your product portfolio, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain. Your role is key to driving product innovation, market expansion, and sustainable business growth.
Activities & Responsibilities
- Own and manage the Surgeon Gloves product division, driving profitability while aligning with marketing, financial, and corporate growth goals.
- Conduct thorough market assessments and develop strategic launch plans for new products to accelerate sales growth and maximize profit potential.
- Collaborate with the sourcing department to negotiate with suppliers, securing better pricing and increased capacity to support expansion of the division.
- Work continuously on portfolio rationalisation to streamline our offer and increase supply efficiency.
- Work as a transversal team leader during the product development phase, with respect to product launch and/or change procedures.
- Benchmark competitor's product portfolios, pricing, and market share, and support the sales team in developing compelling customer offers.
- Develop training programs and marketing collaterals to equip the sales team with effective tools and knowledge.
- Partner with account managers to gain insights into customer needs and understand the competitive landscape.
Job Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, marketing, healthcare or a related field
- At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in marketing, sales and/or product management, preferably within the healthcare industry
- Experience negotiating with external vendors and internal resources
- Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to interpret and utilize data effectively
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy
- Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams in a multicultural environment
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in additional European languages is a plus
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- High personal accountability and a strong drive to succeed
- Willingness to travel occasionally to Medline locations across Europe
