Purpose
The Graphic Designer creates and designs internal and external marketing materials for Medline, its brand and its products, with a particular focus on branding and design management. The role will play a pivotal part in producing high-quality print materials and ensuring consistency in our brand's visual identity. You will collaborate with internal teams, manage your projects, and contribute to the enhancement of our creative processes.
How can you help us?
Design Print Collateral: Create high-quality print materials, including brochures, flyers, banners, event assets, and internal communication documents.
Brand Consistency: Apply corporate design guidelines to maintain consistency across all print materials.
Translation Support: Adapt and enter translations into design files or work with InDesign Markup Language files as needed.
Collaborative Ideation: Work with internal teams to clarify design briefs and propose creative solutions for offline campaigns.
Illustration and Image Editing: Create, edit and optimize illustrations, images and graphics for print collateral, communications, and website use.
Creative Meetings: Attend regular creative meetings, contribute ideas, and initiate kick-off meetings when required.
Print Quality Assurance: Prepare files with precise specifications to ensure high-quality print outputs.
Event Branding: Design visually appealing materials for event branding, such as signage and displays.
Asset Management: Maintain and organize internal libraries of print assets and templates.
Process Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements to print-related processes and design practices.
Project Management: Manage your project lists, deadlines, and deliverables, taking ownership and actively following up.
Corporate Branding: Develop coherent graphics for corporate branding campaigns while maintaining visual consistency.
Collaboration Opportunities: Demonstrate initiative by identifying and pursuing opportunities to collaborate effectively.
Template Utilization: Work with existing corporate templates and file structures, contributing ideas for enhancement.
Internal Libraries: Contribute to the development and organization of internal asset libraries.
Are you a match?
Successfully completed Bachelor’s degree in Graphic/Communication Design or training as a Graphic Designer
2 to 4 years of professional experience as a (Junior) Graphic Designer
Professional skills with Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
Familiarity with print production processes and prepress file preparation.
Strong attention to detail, particularly in typography, layout, and print alignment.
Expertise with a traffic management system, such as Workfront
Very good eye for typography, image ratios and lateral harmony
Ability to work independently, prioritize your work and carry out multiple tasks simultaneously
High level of creativity
Ability to use empathy and social skills in further building relationships with others
Confident in dealing with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally
Ability to independently manage multiple print-focused projects simultaneously.
Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills for offline design challenges.
Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external print vendors.
Ability to achieve results in a fast-paced, changing, highly demanding environment
Affinity with the medical industry and/or knowledge about European healthcare systems is a plus
Timely application of feedback and corrections
Fluent in written and spoken English; an additional European language is a plus
